Expressions of a Community

This was a passion project for a local photographer, Bob Flischel. Because his father had been a custodian in the school system, he was intimately familiar with the amazing works of art hidden in the old school buildings, built in an age when schools where cathedrals for learning. Before these building were torn down or repurposed, Bob took thousands of photo documenting the sculptures, stained glass and priceless fountains and murals created by the artist from Rookwood Pottery. It was my job to edit, categorize, organize and then layout these photos in this book, a project that soon became my passion too.
